Our company strives to operate with the motto of “I Own Safety”, which empowers every employee to take personal accountability for their own safety as well as the safety of those around them. Every employee has Stop Work Authority, which allows any team member to stop work, without reprisals, if they see potential for an unsafe situation, whether in the field or at an office.

Some of the tools and trainings available to support the health and safety of our team members include:

  • AtwellSafe app: We created the AtwellSafe app, an easily accessible internal app where team members can quickly access safety information, tools, and resources.
  • Job Hazard Analysis tool: Our Job Hazard Analysis tool on the AtwellSafe app is a proactive digital submission to identify hazards within field employees’ environments. This analysis helps to empower employees to recognize the hazards they may encounter each day and work to mitigate potential risks and injuries.
  • Field Safety Managers: Field Safety Managers are assigned to specific regions with the responsibility to manage the safety needs of local field crews and offices located in their region.
  • Health and safety training: Employees are trained on relevant health and safety topics ranging from safety orientation, defensive driving, first aid and CPR, OSHA 10, and 30-hour classes to job-specific safety training. Properly training employees is one of the proactive approaches taken to reduce the number of incidents that occur within the company.
  • Emergency action plans: We utilize office-specific emergency action plans and emergency response teams to provide critical information such as evacuation routes, meeting points, emergency contact information, and action steps in the event of various emergencies.

We employ a robust team of safety professionals with decades of experience who are responsible for actively supporting health and safety efforts throughout the company. The Safety Department conducts annual reviews of each safety policy and procedure to ensure it is up-to-date with safety regulations.
